The Gallagher and Nedap integration enables the management of long-range driver and vehicle identification and access control via Command Centre.

Driver-based identification tags offer fast, convenient and secure vehicle access for authorized drivers, ensuring that a vehicle is unable to leave or access a secured area without an authorized driver.

A driver-based vehicle identification tag has a Nedap Prox or Smartcard Booster and a Gallagher personnel access card. The booster is an in-vehicle card reader mounted behind the windshield that amplifies the reading range of the inserted access card up to 10 metres. This means that Gallagher cards can activate a barrier or open a gate just before a vehicle arrives, the booster device acting as the lock and the Gallagher access card as the key.
